The Core Physics books are nothing like traditional Physics textbooks. They are designed to introduce to you, in a systematic and rigorous way, the core concepts of the major topics that just about every High School Physics course covers, anywhere in the world. Core Physics builds a foundation, plus quite a lot more. If it’s in these books, it almost certainly means you need to know it. In class, you’ll finish off that building process so that you can meet your specific course requirements.

To derive the maximum possible benefit, you’re urged to work through the relevant Core Physics book before that topic is covered in class. You’ll be astonished at how much easier the class work will be. You’ll much more readily understand and remember things. Even if you come to these books a little late, they remain useful, particularly if what you have been studying in class just hasn’t been making any sense to you.

Core Physics books are best studied in sequence. They build up a unified body of knowledge — everything, even from seemingly unrelated topics, will come together beautifully towards the end (Physics is indeed a beautiful subject). It’s going to start off nice and easy, with ample time spent on simple concepts. The subject matter will become progressively more complex and more sophisticated as you go, and the pace will pick up significantly, but you won’t notice that because you’ll become progressively much better at doing Physics. By the end of it, you will be a different person. That, after all, is what education is all about!

These books not only reflect the study principles set out in Book 1 but also help you apply those principles. Yes, you will find a whole lot of essential Physics in these books, but you will also be shown how to think, how to picture what goes on in the real world, how to approach problem solving… and all the other things you need in order to succeed in your studies in this wonderful subject.
